Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Recallix (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an AI-powered meeting companion for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Email address and authentication credentials (managed through Supabase Auth).
• Audio recordings: Meeting recordings you choose to capture using the app. Recordings are stored securely in Supabase Storage and are only accessible to you.
• Transcripts and insights: AI-generated transcriptions, summaries, and action items derived from your recordings.
• Usage data: Anonymous analytics data such as feature usage and session duration (via PostHog), and error reports (via Sentry).
• Subscription information: Payment status managed through RevenueCat and Apple's App Store. We do not store payment card details.

3. How we use your information

• To provide transcription and AI insight extraction services.
• To manage your account and subscription.
• To improve app performance and fix bugs.
• To communicate important updates about the service.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to process your data:

• Deepgram (primary) and AssemblyAI (fallback) — Speech-to-text transcription. Audio is sent to their servers for processing and is not retained after transcription is complete.
• OpenAI — Transcript analysis for summary and action item extraction. Transcript text is sent to OpenAI's API and is not used for model training.
• Supabase — Authentication, database, and file storage.
• RevenueCat — Subscription management and payment processing.
• Sentry — Error tracking and crash reporting.
• PostHog — Product analytics.

5. Microphone usage

Recallix requires microphone access solely to record meetings when you explicitly start a recording session. The microphone is never accessed in the background. You can revoke microphone permission at any time through iOS Settings.

6. Data retention

Your recordings, transcripts, and insights are retained in your account until you choose to delete them. When you delete a recording, all associated data (audio file, transcript, insights, and action items) is permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data associated with your account.
• Delete individual recordings and their associated data.
• Request complete account deletion by contacting us at support@recallix.app.
• Export your transcripts and action items.

8. Data security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Audio files and database records are protected by row-level security policies ensuring only authenticated users can access their own data. We do not sell, share, or provide your data to third parties except as described in Section 4.

9. Children

Recallix is not intended for use by anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
